Director of Programming and Policy at the International Documentary Association.  She oversees IDA’s professional development, education, mentorship and training initiatives. In addition, she sets strategy around IDA’s policy and advocacy work supporting filmmakers around a range of issues. Aguilar serves as the primary programmer for IDA’s biennial “Getting Real” conference, a convening for documentary filmmakers and professionals, which will take place next in September 2020.
