Born in 1975 in Lodz. Educated in cinematography yet film directing is his true passion. Graduated from Polish Film School Lodz (1999).
Camera operator in Day of the Freak (Dzień świra) by Marek Koterski, director of photography for Television Theatre Plays – Casting Session (Sesja castingowa) by Krzysztof Zanussi and Funfair (Wesołe miasteczko) by Slawomir Fabicki.
For his documentary debut Generation C.K.O.D. (Generacja C.K.O.D.) he was awarded Grand Prix – Golden Hobby-Horse at the 44th Cracow Film Festival (2004).
Laureate of the Grand Prix in Nokia Mobile Movie Competiotion at the 21st Warsaw Film Festival (2005) for his short film “Future of Polish Cinematography”.
Absolute Beginner (Aleja gówniarzy) is his feature film debut.
