The Contest is a documentary observation made during the International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition Preliminaries in 2010. It pictures world of contestants’ inner deliberations and emotions. Documentary also questions the point of competition in art, which is tend to be judged in the same category as sport, and at the same time deprived of its main features such as intimacy, independence and individuality.
