Seven repeat offenders are serving sentences of 9, 12, 18 and 25 years in a 160 square foot cell in the overcrowded Wolow prison in Poland. They have accepted the filmmaker and his camera in their daily life. The penitentiary administration has granted him 10 days.
The film portrays their everyday lives. The inmates discuss the friendships in a place where trust is as essential as it is hard to give. They also contemplate the impact of prison time on their psyche, mentality, maturity and the struggle to preserve their humanity.
