Elena Leszczynska

Bio

Born in winter on Sakhalin Island in Russian Far East in a family of geophysicists. Because of her father’s  job on various scientific stations they moved very often: Moscow, Murmansk, Gelendzhik. In 2004 Elena graduated from Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy. After that she got married and moved to Poland. In 2009 she was awarded the Polish Film Academy Award “Polish Eagle” for her role in the feature film Litle Moscow (Mała Moskwa). In 2014 Elena graduated with honors from theWarsaw Fine Arts Academy—class of professor Roslaw Szaybo (Media Art Faculty) and class of professor Rafal Kochanski (Graphic Design Faculty). Her diploma work video-art “So, I am the World” was shown at Contemporary Arts Centre “Zamek Ujazdowski” in Warsaw. She is professionally active both as an actress and visual artist (set and graphic designer).
