Katarzyna Klimkiewicz (born 1977) lives in Warsaw, graduate from the Polish Film School in Łódź, alumni of the Binger Film Lab in Amsterdam. Since 2000 she has collaborated with Polish National Television on many projects, including her documentary, Krystian Lupa’s Labyrinth. Her documentary Wasserschlacht, The Great Border Battle co-directed with Andrew Friedman was awarded Berlin Today Award during Berlinale 2007. Her latest documentary Nothing To Lose premiered at the Jerusalem International Film Festival this July. Hanoi-Warsaw won first prize at script competition “Young Frames: Debutants” organized by Television Kino Polska and Special Jury Award at the Young Cinema Competition at the Polish Film Festival, Gdynia 2009. Hanoi-Warsaw is her directorial debut. Flying Blind is her directorial feature debut.
