Bio

Theatre, film and television actor and theatre director. Born in 1950 in Gdansk.  In 1972 graduated from Acting School (PWST) in Warsaw. Acting debut in 1973 at the Silesian Theater in Katowice. Since 1973 in Warsaw become a leading actor at the National Theatre (Teatr Narodowy) (1973-1982), the Wspolczewsny Theatre (1982-1988) and the Ateneum Theatre. Directorial debut in 1992 at the Wroclaw Opera with “Krakowiacy i Gorale” by Wojciech Boguslawski.
Great interpreter of poetry by Czesław Miłosz, Karol Wojtyla, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz, Thomas Stearns  Eliot, Cyprian Norwid, Juliusz Słowacki and Adam Mickiewicz.
