Lukasz Palkowski

Bio

Born in 1976 in Warsaw. Director and screenwriter. Worked as second director in films by Maciej Pieprzyca, Krzysztof Lang and Jan Kidawa-Blonski. Laureate of first Prize at the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival (2004) for his short film Our Street (Nasza ulica) based on a short story by Jan Himilsbach. His feature film debut Preserve (Rezerwat) has already received many awards, including Debut Film Festival in Koszalin: Special Award of Jury, Audience Award, Young Audience Award, Journalists Award and Best Actress Award for Sonia Bohosiewicz; at the 34th Insko Film Summer: Golden Fish for the Best Polish Film; at the Film and Art Festival “Dwa Brzegi” in Kazimierz Dolny-Janowiec: Audience Award. The film was also awarded Special Prize – Silver Statue of Leliwit and Young Jury Award in Tarnow.
