A satire on life in post-WWII Poland. A young filmmaker sets out to tell the story of a ^bricklayer who, because of his exceptional skill, once gained popularity with others workers. He become a champion for worker rights, only to then find himself being persecuted by the government. The conclusion was censored by the Polish government. Highly acclaimed and followed by “Man of Iron” in 1981.
