Story
The movie is based loosely on a short story of Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz. The place of action is Sandomierz in 1934. Stefan Drawicz (Gustaw Holoubek), an art connoisseur, is a selfish and cynical man, who is always in need of new aesthetic experiences. Siegfried (Tomasz Hodziec) is a young circus acrobat dreaming of a better and more exiting life. A meeting of the two men results in a subtle emotional relationship with homosexual overtones. The Drawicz house is a place where Siegfried can be close to beauty and which makes him long for harmony and perfection. For Stefan, in turn, Siegfried’s body can be a source of new, strong emotional and aesthetic experiences…
