This is a dynamic and multi-plot thriller about several schemes that happen to go very wrong yet manage to intertwine and unexpectedly resolve themselves at the end. Two intellectuals–Marek Kowalewski, a talented forger of dollar bills, and Witek Heidrich, nicknamed “Professor,” are serving long sentences and are working on a clever and deliberate plan of how to escape from prison. After a Polish Deputy is kidnapped in Afghanistan and held for $6 million ransom, Marek is approached by Bukowski from the International Affairs Department and offered his release from jail if he cooperates in the production of fake dollars.
