Born in 1979, Bytom, Poland. Studied film direction at Łódź Film School. She gained international recognition early on with her student shorts Pulse (doc, 2003) and You Are There (2004). Together with two college friends she debuted with the much lauded three-part feature Ode To Yoy (2005). This was followed by the short A Few Simple Words (2007) and the mid-length documentary The Sidetrack (2009). Her first feature Flying Pigs (2010) was a huge box-office success in Poland. For HBO Poland she directed numerous episodes of the series In Treatment (2011-12). Her latest film The Word was premiered in the Generation section at 2014 Berlinale.
