Journey to the Green Shadows is not a biographical film at all, but a poetic story about passion, the need to leave some trace of one’s self and eternal femininity above all. The main female character of the film is a charismatic Polish woman–Zofia Ksiazek-Bregulowa–a blind actress and poet, participant in the Warsaw Uprising. She leads her life being suspended between the loneliness of everyday life and the sphere of her memories.
