Born in 1944 in Cracow. Theater critic, film director, actor, script and book writer, and teacher at art and theater schools. The Jagiellonian University graduate. Author of over 700 television programs and documentaries, such as two television documentary series on the Polish theater — Faces of the Theater (Twarze teatru), featuring the fifty most popular actors of the Polish stage and screen and Anatomy of a Performance (Anatomia spektaklu), showing the best Polish theatre directors’ process of creating productions (i.e. Tadeusz Kantor, Andrzej Wajda, Konrad Swinarski). Most recently, developer of a series on Jewish culture in Poland and the Holocaust. Promoter of Tadeusz Kantor‘s theater work which resulted in 30 television programs and documentaries. Actor in Kantor’s Cricot 2 Theater (from 1973 to 1987). Founder of the NURT Independent Polish Documentary Festival in Kielce. Winner of several awards and prizes.
