Leelee Sobieski starred in an impressive string of projects including FOX’s lauded psychological thriller Joy Ride for director John Dahl, Sony’s thriller The Glass House, Paramount Picture Classics’ acclaimed My First Mister with Albert Brooks for director Christine Lahti, and Jon Avnet’s recently broadcast NBC Sweeps miniseries Uprising for which she received a Golden Globe nod. In addition to her Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated performance of Joan of Arc in the CBS mini-series, Sobieski’s additional credits include the late Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut opposite Tom Cruise, FOX’s sleeper hit Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore, the Merchant/Ivory production A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries, Paramount’s blockbuster Deep Impact with Elijah Wood, and FOX’s dramatic romance Here on Earth with Josh Hartnett. She also starred in the French-language film L’idole and in Lions Gate’s Max opposite John Cusack; both films screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. She has also completed work on a 60’s adaption of Dangerous Liaisons in which she stars opposite Catherine Denueve and Rupert Everett. The project was simultaneously filmed in both French and English.
