Kaja Miller is a young and honest policewoman. During one of ineptly performed operations she is kidnapped and raped. Running away from her attackers, she kills them, but in her report she doesn’t mention the circumstances of the incident and leaves her job.
Eight years later her former boss, Nowicki, a high-ranking officer of the Central Investigation Bureau, who leads a team investigating business and political connections in the Pomerania region, convinces her to come to Gdynia. The group’s task is to uncover the criminals building a pyramid scheme of immense range. The clues lead them to Kawecki, a dishonest businessman who uses his political contacts to protect his own interests. The investigation goes further and further and exposes the links between the world of business, public services and organized crime.
