Szymon Jakubowski was born in 1978. In 2001 he graduated from the Audiovisual Art Institute at the Jagiellonian University specializing in film journalism. During 2002-2005 he studied at the Krzysztof Kieslowski Radio and Television Department, University of Silesia. Till now he directed a few short feature and documentary movies and his first full length feature How to Live? (Jak żyć?). Laureate of Art Scholarship of the City of Cracow for 2006.
