A member of the Media Theory & Criticism faculty in the Department of Cinema and Television Arts at California State University, Northridge. The curator of a distinguished program at the CSUN Cinematheque-semester-long film retrospectives devoted to such filmmakers as Ingmar Bergman, Jean-Luc Godard, Federico Fellini, Akira Kurosawa, Krzysztof Kieslowski, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
