Two brothers live in a small village on the verge of ruin. They care for an old and ailing mother, and go to great lengths to hide the truth about the having sold the house, land, and livestock. Their story is a light-hearted humorous look at the universal conflict between the draw of urban life and its promise of excitement and economic prosperity vs. the simplicity of country living and ties to the land.
