In 1980 Zbigniew Waclaw Kowalewski graduated from the Polish National Film School in Łódź. Film director`s first assistant; first professional film 1981 while being a member of the TV, Film an damp; Theatre Studio of the Youths. Together with four professional partners, they formed a new Film Studio WIR. Directed over 58 documentaries.
